CHONDROPLUS

Intra-articular filler (injection)
Chondroplus is a transparent and sterile gel supplied in a glass syringe.
Chondroplus is a unique form of non-animal, 20mg/ml hyaluronic acid and 10mg/ml synthetic peptide for pain and improvement in the physical function of joints.
Each box contains 1 pre-filled syringe of 2 ml of Chondroplus.

Composition
Sodium hyaluronate (2%) phosphate buffered saline, 1% synthetic peptide
Why Collagen Tripeptide (1% synthetic peptide) with Hyaluronic Acid?
• Collagen tripeptide (CTP) is a highly purified, non-antigenic and low-allergenic tripeptide fraction containing Gly-Xaa-Yaa sequences
• Articular cartilage has pores with a diameter between 11-14nm. For this reason, only compounds with low molecular weight from the synovial fluid (not greater than 20KDa) can diffuse into the tissue.
• Collagen Tripeptide in Chondroplus has a low molecular mass (16-18 kDA), which enables its free diffusion into the articular cartilage tissue.

Indications and use
Chondroplus is indicated for the treatment of pain in osteoarthritic joints and for
improvement of joint mobility through improvement of viscoelasticity of synovial fluid.

Dosage and method of administration
Chondroplus is intended for intra-articular injection only. The administration of the product should only be performed by a doctor. Depending on the size of the joint, up to 2 ml can be applied intra-articularly. The recommended treatment protocol is 1 injection per year for 12 to 16 months.

Why Chondroplus?
Chondroprotective effect and delaying the progression of Osteoarthritis
Chondroplus stops cartilage degradation in an ex vivo study (intra-articular injections of CTP/HA delay the progression of cartilage degeneration due to early stage osteoarthritis in rabbits)
The result was achieved by activated type II collagen synthesis.
Anti-inflammatory effect
Chondroplus injection containing Collagen Tripeptide maintains a low level of MMP-3 (matrix metalloproteinase 3) for a period of 6-12 months and enables its prolonged anti-inflammatory effect.
